This Privacy Policy describes how Studaily ("we") collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you use our mobile app for iOS and Android.
1. Who we are
Studaily is a study-tracking app and lightweight social network. For privacy questions, contact us at support@studay.app.
2. Data we collect
- Account: name, email, profile photo, and username — authentication is handled via Clerk (sign in with Google or Apple).
- Camera and photos: we access the camera and gallery only when you pick or take a profile photo. The image is used solely for that purpose.
- Study data: timed sessions, subjects, topics, notes, goals, streaks, and statistics.
- Social data: followers and following, groups, likes, and the content of articles posted in groups.
- Push notifications: device token (Expo / APNs / FCM).
- Spotify (optional): used only to play playlists during focus; we don't store listening history.
- Focus Mode / app blocking (optional): to block other apps during a focus session, we use Screen Time on iOS and Usage Access on Android. The list of apps you choose and the check of which app is in the foreground are processed entirely on your device — this data never leaves the device, is never sent to our servers, and is never shared with third parties.
- Subscriptions: status and renewal dates via RevenueCat. Payment is processed by Apple or Google — we never receive card data.
- Technical data: device model, app version, and language.
3. How we use your data
- Operate the app and its features.
- Personalize your study experience.
- Send relevant notifications (reminders, streaks, social interactions).
- Verify subscriptions and prevent fraud.
4. Sharing with third parties
We share data only with vendors essential to operating the service:
- Clerk — authentication
- RevenueCat — subscription management
- Apple and Google — app stores and payment processing
- Spotify — only if you connect your account
- Push notification providers (Expo, APNs, FCM)
- Railway — infrastructure hosting
We never sell your data.
5. Your rights (LGPD / GDPR)
You can request at any time: access, correction, deletion, and portability of your data. To delete your account, use the option inside the app or send an email to support@studay.app.
6. Children
Studaily is not intended for children under 13.
7. Security and retention
We adopt technical and organizational measures to protect your data. We keep your information while your account is active. After a deletion request, data is erased within 30 days, except where required by law.
8. Changes to this policy
Material changes will be communicated in the app before taking effect.
9. Governing law
This policy is governed by the laws of Brazil.
